Professional Bio

I am a lifelong resident of Atlanta, and I have lived in Marietta since 1999. I attended Wake Forest University and graduated with honors with a business degree in 1986. I attended the University of Georgia Law School, and graduated in 1992. After graduation I moved to Atlanta and began practicing law.

My legal career has been varied; however, my primary practice has been transactional. I am admitted to practice in all State and Superior Courts of Georgia, the Court of Appeals of Georgia, and the Georgia Supreme Court, as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Georgia. In May 2010, I was proud to be admitted to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court.

I am an active member of the Cobb County Bar Association. I served two terms on the Executive Committee of the Real Property Section of the State Bar of Georgia. I am a member of the Rotary Club of Marietta Metro, and was President in 2016-2017. I am also on the Board of Directors for two non-profit organizations: LUO Inc., which supports children living in poverty in South Africa, and Oasis of Life International, Inc., whose mission is to support at-risk children and women in India.

My wife and I live in Marietta.  In my free time I enjoy our three dogs, sports, reading and music.
